Finance Manager - Infrastructure

DMC Recruitment and Search is seeking a Finance Manager for a large infrastructure business. This full-time, onsite position is based in Sydney NSW, with a salary of circa $220-$240,000 plus superannuation and bonus.

This role is embedded within the projects function, reporting directly to the Finance Director. It involves owning the financial control framework for capital programs and presenting to board-level executives monthly.

About the Role

You will act as the financial steward across the entire project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

• Owning the monthly close process.
• Leading cost management reviews across all workstreams.
• Maintaining budget governance.
• Managing forecasting and Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes.
• Ensuring the integrity of reporting from project delivery teams to executive level.
• Mentoring and developing project accountants within your team.

The business is currently undergoing a significant phase of major capital investment, offering genuine weight and visibility for this role from the outset.

About You

• CA or CPA qualified.
• 5+ years of experience in a major projects environment. Experience in infrastructure, energy, utilities, or large-scale capital works is preferred.
• Proven experience managing financial reporting on projects exceeding $1 billion.
• Strong background in cost management and financial controls, including asset capitalisation.
• Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior executives.
• Experience in regulated environments is an advantage.
