Finance Manager Jones Retail Group Cleveland Part-time, Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager on a part-time basis to support our vision for expansion and take ownership of the group’s financial performance. This position is well-suited for individuals looking to re-enter the workforce, resume their career after a break, or transition into a role offering enhanced work-life balance. Flexible hours are available for the right candidate, approximately 24 hours per week.
The Role Based at our Support Office in Cleveland, this role is integral to driving the financial performance and strategic direction of our business. You will be supported by a capable small administrative and accounts team while overseeing the financial aspects of the organisation. Success in this position requires an understanding of our expanding business and a commitment to continuing work on financial structures, processes, and systems to provide timely and accurate financial services. Alongside strong financial acumen and practical accounting expertise, you will be a strategic thinker with commercial insight to maximise profitability and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities, including management accounts, annual budgets, and cash flow forecasting.
- Reporting & Compliance: Deliver timely and accurate statutory financial reporting to ASIC and ATO, encompassing quarterly BAS and monthly PAYG obligations. Track and report on financial metrics and cash flow to business owners and the CEO.
- Payroll: Manage payroll for the Support Office Team on a weekly basis and handle monthly payroll tax lodgment.
- Bookkeeping/Accounting: Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of financial transactions across all business operations. Conduct regular internal audits.
- Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans to identify opportunities for optimisation and cost savings.

- Degree in accounting or finance, preferably with CPA or CA qualification.
- 5+ years of executive-level financial management experience.
- Extensive understanding of advanced accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial metrics and complex data to the leadership team.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
