Finance Manager
LM People Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to lead the finance function and support the continued growth of Integrated Switchgear & Systems Pty Ltd (ISAS). ISAS employs over 80 staff across the NT and WA, delivering industrial electrical products and services, including automation, lighting control systems, switchboards, and switch rooms for the commercial electrical sector.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Darwin NT, with a salary range of $115,000 – $125,000 per year.
The Role: As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all financial operations. This includes planning, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. You will oversee the finance and administration team, payroll, and statutory compliance. The role also involves providing commercial insights to support sustainable growth and ensure the integrity of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Oversee payroll, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
- Provide commercial insights to support business performance and growth.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity across all financial transactions and reporting.
- Develop and communicate a clear understanding of the company’s financial position, in the context of industry trends and the broader economic environment.
- Manage and mentor the finance and administration team.
- Support risk management and ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations.
About You: You are a confident and capable finance professional with strong technical expertise in management accounting, combined with commercial acumen and leadership capability.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience in a related industry such as manufacturing, industrial services, or construction in a business employing at least 50 employees.
- Proven experience across financial and management accounting, payroll, and statutory reporting.
- Proven experience in insurance management.
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost-control principles, and financial and accounting systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
- Solid understanding of key tax and compliance requirements (e.g., payroll tax, superannuation, and taxation obligations).
- Solid understanding of insurance requirements across all relevant classes.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge and speak up when needed.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
