MELVELLE EQUIPMENT CORP PTY LTD is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the daily finance and administration operations. This role is integral to ensuring precise financial processing, adherence to statutory requirements, effective payroll, cash flow management, and punctual management reporting. The Finance Manager will provide financial data and operational perspectives to the CEO, lead the finance administration team, uphold robust financial systems and procedures, and contribute to the business's overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the day-to-day finance and administration functions.
- Manage payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Oversee company cash flow, providing regular reports to the CEO and highlighting significant variances.
- Generate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure adherence to taxation and statutory obligations.
- Coordinate annual insurance renewals and customer compliance documentation.
- Assist the CEO with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Supervise finance and administration personnel.
- Propose enhancements to finance processes.
- Prepare R&D figures for the annual company tax return.
Key Challenges:
- Completing monthly financial reports accurately by the 10th working day of each month.
- Maintaining efficient payroll and statutory compliance processes.
- Monitoring cash flow and debtor collections to support business operations.
- Ensuring accurate financial records and reconciliations.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.
Position Requirements:
- A relevant accounting or finance qualification is essential.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a finance or accounting role is required.
- Experience with payroll and statutory compliance is essential.
- Strong organisational and time management skills are required.
- Excellent attention to detail is essential.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software is required.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills are necessary.
- The ability to supervise and support administration staff is required.
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines is essential.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience within manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience with job costing.
- M1 ERP experience.
- A Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Commerce Degree, or equivalent.
