Moir Group is seeking a Finance Officer/Assistant Accountant for an immediate start on behalf of a leading Australian energy company. Role Overview You will be a key member of the finance team, initially concentrating on accounts payable and project cost tracking. Your responsibilities will expand to include financial analysis, month-end close procedures, cash and accounts receivable reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvement projects. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional aiming to enhance their commercial finance expertise.
Candidate Profile
- At least 2 years of experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Payable, or similar junior finance capacity.
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business, with commencement of CA/CPA studies.
- Proficient accounts payable, reconciliation, and financial analysis capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and a proactive, detail-oriented work ethic.
- Experience with ERP systems (Pronto or NetSuite is advantageous) and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Remuneration and Hours
- Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum + Superannuation.
- Work Type: Full-time.
- Location: Sydney NSW.
- Hours: Onsite.
