Collins Restaurants Management is seeking a casual Finance Officer to join their Financial Accounting team in Brisbane. This role involves core transactional and processing duties with large datasets, reporting to the Finance Supervisor. You will work alongside a team responsible for the Management and Financial Accounting functions of extensive retail operations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure core monthly accounting functions are completed accurately and on time.
• Reconcile high-volume weekly store POS cash and EFT transactions across multiple stores, liaising with Restaurants and Managers as needed.
• Assist in the review of periodic stock counts to verify integrity.
• Process and review staff and store reimbursements.
• Prepare allocated weekly and monthly journals.
• Provide cover and support to other team members.
• Undertake various ad hoc tasks to support end-of-month processing.

Requirements:

• Availability to work a minimum of Monday and Friday.
• Advanced MS Office skills, with a primary focus on Excel.
• Ability to use initiative and contribute value to the broader Finance team.
• Demonstrated strong reliability, organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Capacity to work with large datasets.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high levels of accuracy.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills, and effective people skills.
• Strong time management and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Work Type and Hours:

• Work type: Casual
• Hours: Between 15-25 hours per week, across 2-3 days.
• Location: Onsite in Brisbane QLD.
