Finance Officer Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development

This is a temporary, full-time position concluding on June 30th, 2028. The role is based in Orange, with candidates considered across all DPIRD NSW locations. The salary offered starts from $113,574 per annum, increasing to $125,720 per annum, plus superannuation, dependent on experience.

About the Role

As a member of the LLS Finance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Generating high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support the Local Land Services management team in delivering annual priorities and business plans within budget.
• Collaborating closely with project managers to ensure financial reports are thoroughly analysed and fully understood.
• Completing and submitting financial returns and funding acquittals.

Requirements for Success

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• An accounting qualification (or similar) and/or relevant work experience within finance.
• A good working knowledge and awareness of NSW Public Sector investment, financial, and human resource legislation, regulations, processes, and services.
• Experience working in a demanding environment with a high workload, managing conflicting priorities efficiently and effectively.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working across projects with diverse stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.
