Finance Partner Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage Perth WA Full-time, onsite

As a Finance Partner, you will leverage analytical and critical thinking to transform financial data into actionable insights, supporting enhanced outcomes for the Department and the community. This role involves collaboration with business areas to understand complex challenges and provide practical, solution-oriented financial advice that promotes performance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to financial modelling, activity-based costing, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Supporting the development of business cases and funding submissions.
  • Interpreting financial information, identifying trends and opportunities.
  • Assisting stakeholders in making informed decisions within a dynamic environment.

This is a pool recruitment process for permanent and fixed-term full-time positions. The pool may be utilised for similar roles within the Department and across the WA public sector over the next 12 months from the initial appointment date.

The Department's Perth office is conveniently located in the CBD, above the Perth Underground rail and near Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in financial modelling preparation.
  • Knowledge and practical application of financial services.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstration of leadership behaviours as outlined in the Leadership Expectations, specifically within the Personal Leadership context. This context focuses on the contributions of individuals not yet in formal leadership roles who make a direct and immediate impact. These behaviours may be assessed during the recruitment process.
