Financial Accountant

Excolo is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a permanent, full-time, onsite role at their Sydney Olympic Park location.

This role is with a well-established manufacturing business operating across multiple sites. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and should be a technically proficient accountant adept at handling the complexities of a multi-entity, international financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reports.
• Manage intercompany accounting, consolidations, and eliminations across various entities.
• Assist with statutory financial statements, tax, and compliance obligations.
• Oversee fixed assets, inventory reconciliations, and cost accounting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Provide guidance and review team member outputs, offering technical support.
• Liaise with stakeholders across different sites and international entities.
• Assist with audit preparation and lead process improvement initiatives.

About You:

• Possess 5+ years of experience in financial accounting within a complex, multi-entity setting.
• Have strong experience with international entities, including intercompany accounting and consolidations/eliminations.
• Manufacturing and/or construction industry experience is highly preferred.
• Hold a Degree in Accounting/Finance and be a CPA/CA or near completion.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of AU/NZ accounting standards.
• Exhibit advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Possess strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to guide and review team output.
• Exhibit high integrity, a proactive and accountable, hands-on approach.
• Show strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
• Be able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
