The Opportunity A Financial Accountant is required for a 12-month fixed-term contract position situated in the Sydney CBD. This role reports to the finance team and encompasses essential financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger duties. The position also offers involvement in audit, compliance, and finance transformation initiatives. This role presents a valuable opportunity for an individual seeking to enhance their technical accounting experience within a commercially oriented organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Execute accurate reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Manage general ledger journals and contribute to process enhancement projects.
• Provide support for external audits and compliance obligations.
• Assist with finance transformation projects and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with the wider business on reporting and commercial insights.
• Utilise tools such as AI and automation to improve reporting efficiency where applicable.

Skills Needed

• CA/CPA qualification or current candidate.
• Solid technical accounting proficiency, with AASB experience being preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP system.
• Strong communication capabilities and a proactive, adaptable approach.
