About the Role
This is a key finance role focused on driving positive change and supporting our financial reporting. Reporting to the Financial Controller, we are looking for a dynamic Financial Accountant to prepare our financial reports. The position requires a focus on process improvements to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting. Based in Eagle Farm, Brisbane, you will provide reporting and analysis for our end-of-month financial reports. You will be part of a global finance team with colleagues in the UK and USA. You will enjoy being innovative, thinking outside the box, and are comfortable respectfully challenging the norm.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a close-knit team to complete month-end close.
- Prepare supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations within set deadlines.
- Manage lease accounting, prepayments, and accruals.
- Administer the Fixed Asset Register, including managing capital work in progress, capitalising assets (including Low Value sweeps), and applying depreciation rates and useful lives in line with company policies.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and upload support into OneStream software.
- Contribute to cash flow forecasting and manage outgoing payments.
- Assist with external and internal auditor requests, interim and year-end audits, and walkthroughs.
- Understand Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) laws, prepare supporting schedules, and declarations. Coordinate with team members to achieve a draft FBT return by the deadline.
- Maintain and develop finance processes and procedures to support timely, accurate, and efficient reporting, complying with company global and local policies.
- Collate data for Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys and other required reports.

- You have 5+ years of accounting, finance, or related experience.
- Membership of a professional accounting institution would be a distinct advantage.
- You are experienced in SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle, or a similar accounting system.
- You have advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting (pivots, lookups, nested formulas).
- You possess advanced reconciliation skills, analytical ability, and effective communication skills across all levels of staff within the business.
- You are adaptable with a strong, positive work ethic.
- You are organised and able to meet deadlines.
- You can manage competing priorities under pressure.
