St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team at our Casuarina location. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary of $99,900 per year.

St John Ambulance Australia (NT) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing ambulance services, first aid training, and community safety support throughout the Northern Territory. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual to offer essential financial and administrative assistance.

About the Role

In this multifaceted and fulfilling position, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Supporting the annual external audit process and coordinating audit requests.
• Monitoring fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure.
• Preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Accounting or Master of Professional Accounting is preferred.
• Experience within a Not-for-Profit organisation is desirable.
• Previous experience in an accounting practice or finance environment is desirable.
• Knowledge of audit, risk, and internal control frameworks is desirable.
