Financial Controller / Accountant & Business Analyst
My Digital Health Group is looking for a commercially focused professional to fill the role of Financial Controller / Accountant who also possesses strong business analysis capabilities.
This is a practical position overseeing financial management, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, compliance, systems enhancement, and commercial analysis for our expanding digital healthcare operations.
The successful candidate will be adept at managing the accounting function, analysing business processes, refining reporting, utilising operational data, contributing to system improvements, and assisting leadership in informed decision-making.
Essential attributes include robust accounting skills, meticulous attention to detail, advanced spreadsheet proficiency, and the capacity to transform data into actionable business insights. Prior experience within healthcare, telehealth, medical services, or a rapidly expanding small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment would be beneficial.
This opportunity is suited for an individual who values accurate financial data, effective dashboards, enhanced systems, and proactive problem-solving over retrospective reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end reporting, reconciliations, financial controls, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and compliance activities.
- Generate management accounts, dashboards, variance analysis, and commercial reports.
- Analyse revenue, costs, margins, patient activity, practitioner utilisation, and operational performance.
- Map processes, identify inefficiencies, and support system and workflow improvements.
- Collaborate with leadership, operations teams, and external advisors to enhance financial visibility and overall business performance.
Requirements:
- Experience in roles such as Financial Controller, Tax Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Manager, or a comparable position.
- Proficient accounting and financial reporting skills.
- Business analysis experience, encompassing process improvement, requirements gathering, workflow mapping, and system optimisation.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software and reporting tools.
- A practical, commercial, and proactive mindset.
- CA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential for a suitable candidate.
