Morgan Consulting is exclusively partnering with a high-performance business consultancy to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. This role offers a rare opportunity for a senior, hands-on finance leader to manage the internal finance function and provide support to a growing portfolio of client businesses. The position involves building robust financial foundations both internally and for fast-growing, founder-led organisations.

The role combines comprehensive financial control, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, with practical advisory services. You will assist clients in implementing appropriate finance systems, reporting frameworks, governance structures, and scalable processes. Collaboration with founders, leadership teams, and consulting stakeholders is key to delivering accurate reporting, strong controls, and commercial insights that facilitate execution and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end internal finance function.
• Produce monthly financial reporting, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning activities.
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and payment runs.
• Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, PAYG, Superannuation, and statutory obligations.
• Enhance systems, processes, Standard Operating Procedures, reporting dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators.
• Partner with senior leadership on commercial decisions and performance evaluation.
• Provide finance setup, uplift, and advisory support to client businesses in a shared services capacity.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role.
• Strong practical skills in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cashflow management, and reporting.
• Comfortable establishing finance processes and systems from the ground up.
• Confident engaging with founders and senior stakeholders.
• CA/CPA qualified, or equivalent.
• Possess a commercial, proactive, and accountable approach, thriving in fast-paced environments.
