Job Description

Financial Manager, NDIS

Lanson Partners is seeking a Financial Manager for a full-time, hybrid role based in Hornsby. The salary offered is $140,000 + Super + Benefits.

This opportunity is with a fast-growing, purpose-driven organisation dedicated to supporting Australians with disability. With revenue nearing $60 million and significant growth aspirations, they require an experienced finance professional to modernise their finance function while maintaining close ties to daily business operations. This role offers the chance to integrate hands-on financial management with process improvement, automation, and commercial partnering within a business where your contributions will have a tangible impact.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will assume responsibility for the finance function and contribute to its evolution alongside the organisation's expansion.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Managing day-to-day finance operations, including accounts, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
  • Preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts, cashflow reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Identifying opportunities for automation of manual processes and enhancement of financial workflows.
  • Utilising Xero, integrated systems, and financial data to deliver improved reporting and commercial insights.
  • Driving improvements in finance systems and contributing to the development of a scalable finance function.
  • Partnering with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.
  • Maintaining robust financial controls while increasing efficiency across the finance function.

About You

You will be an individual who thrives on improving financial operations and aims to leave a lasting legacy within a growing organisation.

You will ideally possess:

  • Experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant within a Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) or a growing business.
  • Strong experience with Xero and integrated finance systems.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering finance transformation, systems improvements, or automation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and confidence in working with large datasets to generate commercial insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience in preparing budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
  • A hands-on approach, with the ability to balance operational finance with strategic thinking.
  • A CA or CPA qualification.

Experience within the NDIS, healthcare, or community services sectors is advantageous.

Why Apply?

  • An opportunity to transform and modernise an established finance function.
  • Significant exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
  • Join a growing organisation with ambitious plans and genuine investment in systems improvement.
  • A hybrid working arrangement based in Hornsby, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
  • A collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment where good ideas are encouraged and implemented.
  • Contribute to a purpose-driven organisation making a genuine difference in the lives of Australians living with disability.
  • A competitive salary of $140,000 + Super, with additional benefits.

If you are seeking a role that combines operational finance with automation, data, systems improvement, and commercial partnering, and wish to work in a business where your ideas will genuinely shape the future of the finance function, we encourage you to apply.
