Graduate Accountant

AMHR Certified Practising Accountants is seeking a Graduate or Junior Accountant to join their public practice team. This full-time, onsite position is located in Burswood, with a salary range of $55,000 – $70,000 per year.

This opportunity is suitable for either a recent accounting graduate seeking their initial role in public practice, or an individual with 1–2 years of experience looking to advance their career within a supportive firm.

Requirements:

• An accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
• A genuine interest in public practice accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Experience with MYOB and Xero, or a willingness to develop these skills.
• Experience with Handisoft and Class would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• Prior public practice experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Special Purpose Financial Statements.
• Preparation of tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs.
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements.
• Provision of general accounting guidance and client support.
• Opportunities to develop broader advisory and consulting skills over time.
