Graduate Accountant – Full Time
T&E Accounting Pty Ltd, a well-established Australian accounting firm, has an opening for a full-time Graduate Accountant in Brisbane, QLD. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement after a successful probation period.
About Us T&E Accounting specialises in financial reporting and compliance for vulnerable community members, deceased estates, testamentary trusts, and special disability trusts. We operate a fully online, remote, and system-based service, serving clients across Australia.
The Role Due to significant growth, we have created a Graduate Accountant position. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of special purpose financial statements for trusts.
- Preparation of income tax returns for trusts and individuals.
- Preparation of tribunal reporting for financial matter appointments.
- Requesting and gathering necessary client information for financial statement and income tax return preparation.
- Identifying and resolving basic issues within client financial statements.
Candidate Profile To excel in this role, you will be:
- Well-organised, enjoy routine, possess practical common-sense, and be self-disciplined.
- Enjoy your work and approach problems systematically.
- Painstaking, orderly, conscientious, with a strong capacity for follow-through and attention to detail.
- Prudent, able to apply critical thinking, reliable, and consistent in your actions.
- Possess 1–2 years of experience in Australian public practice.
- Hold a completed Accounting degree.
- Have commenced or intend to commence CPA or IPA.
- Possess exceptional communication skills.
- Hold full working rights in Australia. Overseas-based candidates will not be considered.
- Experience with Xero is required.
Remuneration and Hours
- Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
- Plus Superannuation.
- Work type: Full-time.
- Hours: Standard business hours.
