Graduate Accountant/Junior Accountant

About the Role: As a Graduate Accountant/Junior Accountant, you will:

• Assist with general office duties within a small team.
• Liaise with the ATO and other authorities.
• Assist with the preparation and processing of tax returns and financial statements.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and income tax returns.
• Communicate directly with clients, providing excellent customer service professionally.
• Complete work within time budgets and turnaround times.
• Provide support to senior accountants as required.
• Undertake general accounting and bookkeeping duties.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1+ year of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Xero, HandiSoft, MYOB, and QuickBooks is desirable.
• Proficiency in English, with Chinese preferred.
• Valid Australian work rights.
• A positive and dependable attitude, with a willingness to be part of our team.
• A passion for learning and a strong desire to pursue the CPA or CA program is preferred.

Skills and Experience:

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, together with effective time management and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.
• A dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
