Graduate Tax Accountant

Harden East & Conti, a chartered accounting firm located in West Perth, WA, is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Tax Accountant to join our team. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive financial services to a varied client base and foster a collaborative work environment that supports professional advancement.

The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to assisting clients in achieving their financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of financial statements for trading businesses and investment entities of all types, including Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).
• Assistance with high net worth groups and general business advisory services.
• Support with client income tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) compliance.
• Contribution to the development of client-specific tax planning advice.
• Ongoing management assistance for designated clients.
• Liaison with external parties such as auditors, ASIC, and the ATO.

Requirements:

• A Commerce Degree in Accounting (Australian recognised).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Experience with accounting software, such as Xero and MYOB, is viewed favourably.

Position Details:

• Work Type: Full-time
• Hours: 38 hours per week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Location: West Perth, WA (Onsite)
