ActewAGL Retail is seeking an experienced Group Manager Commercial Services Retail to provide commercial and financial leadership to its Retail business. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is instrumental in influencing strategy, performance, and customer affordability.

This position offers an excellent remuneration and benefits package under a Management Service Agreement.

About the Role The Group Manager Commercial Services Retail will lead the Retail Commercial Services function, encompassing billing, credit management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis. The role involves delivering high-quality insights and forward-looking advice to inform decisions regarding operations, investment, and long-term strategy. You will contribute to commercially sound decision-making that supports financial sustainability and positive customer outcomes. As a senior leader, you will guide a high-performing team and drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and data integrity to enhance Retail operations efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and financial leadership to support strategy, performance, and investment decisions.
• Lead and develop the Retail Commercial Services team, fostering capability and engagement.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
• Oversee billing, cash collection, and credit management performance.
• Provide commercial and financial input to support pricing and regulatory outcomes.
• Evaluate business cases, investments, and commercial proposals.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance, and regulatory alignment.
• Partner across Retail and Corporate teams to drive aligned business outcomes and transformation initiatives.

About You You are a strategic and commercially minded leader with a proven ability to translate complex financial and operational data into practical, value-adding insights.

You will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, accounting, or business.
• Significant experience in commercial and financial leadership within a complex or regulated environment.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capability.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering performance insights and driving commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
