  • Provide escalation support and after-hours technical response for HV incidents.
  • Mentor and offer technical guidance to engineers and technicians working with HV systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with electrical safety regulations, industry standards, and internal frameworks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reliability, safety, and operational performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in high voltage electrical systems within mission-critical environments.
  • Proven experience performing HV switching operations and managing electrical isolations.
  • Deep knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power distribution networks.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations, permit systems, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and protection studies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to diagnose complex electrical faults.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation and procedures.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-availability, safety-critical environment.
  • Experience with BMS, SCADA, and power monitoring systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across internal teams, contractors, and utilities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a recognised electrical trade qualification with significant HV experience.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in HV systems within data centres, utilities, power generation, or heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in HV switching operations and outage coordination.
  • Strong understanding of power systems, including generators, transformers, UPS, and protection systems.
  • HV Switching Authorisation and relevant electrical safety certifications.
  • Experience managing HV maintenance programs and system reliability.
