About the Role

Our Support at Home Program assists older individuals to reside safely and independently in their own residences for as long as feasible. We are expanding our Home Care team and have opportunities supporting clients in Bendigo and Castlemaine.

The Home Care Domestic Support role involves travelling to clients' homes to provide domestic assistance, aiding clients in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment. No specific qualification is required for this position. This is a meaningful role where you can observe the positive difference you make daily.

Join our expanding team with multiple opportunities across the Loddon Mallee North Region, with current openings in Swan Hill, Lake Boga, Nyah, Nyah West, Kerang, and surrounding communities. These are part-time positions with guaranteed contracted hours of 20 per fortnight. To meet client and rostering needs, successful candidates must have daytime availability across a minimum of three weekdays weekly.

What You Will Be Doing

• Providing domestic assistance and household support tailored to each client's individual requirements, encompassing cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, changing bed linen, tidying, and other household duties.
• Supporting clients to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Cultivating respectful, professional relationships with clients and their families through regular visits and meaningful interactions.
• Respecting and integrating each client's cultural, spiritual, and individual needs.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing necessary documentation.
• Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive client outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Experience in domestic support, cleaning, housekeeping, or a similar role (desirable).
• A commitment to providing respectful, high-quality support.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to support older individuals in living independently at home.

Essential Requirements

You must have, or be willing to obtain:

• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• A Victorian Driver Licence.
• Access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle for work-related travel.
• A Victorian Working With Children Check (Employee).
• Current and ongoing flu vaccination.
• Australian working rights.
• A National Police Check.
