Home Care Worker | NSW - Molong | Part-Time and Casual Positions

Kirinari Community Services is seeking Home Care Workers for part-time and casual roles in Molong, NSW.

In Home Services, part of Kirinari Community Services, supports individuals in regional New South Wales and Queensland to enhance their lives. The organisation aims to empower and assist people in leading fulfilling and independent lives within their own homes.

Role Overview: This position involves a person-centred approach to enrich the lives of customers in their homes. Responsibilities include identifying and assessing customer needs, providing support for daily living, and encouraging choice and control. Tasks may encompass:

  • Personal Care: Assisting with toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene requirements.
  • Meal Preparation: Cooking, food preparation, and meal planning.
  • Transport: Providing transportation for medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assistance with shopping), and other outings as needed.
  • Social Support: Conducting welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining community links.
  • Domestic Assistance: Undertaking duties such as vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, carpet cleaning, making beds, and basic home and garden maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to undertake personal care services with customers.
  • A caring and compassionate approach with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with a degree of responsibility.
  • Flexibility in work hours and approach to meet customer needs.
  • Availability of a fully registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to undertake travel as required by the role.
