HVAC Project Engineer

Core Talent is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Engineer on behalf of a well-established multi-disciplinary contractor. This organisation undertakes large-scale Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial projects throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland. Due to recent expansion, they are recruiting for their Brisbane-based team.

This role is suitable for individuals with a contracting or consultancy background who possess a minimum of 3 years' experience with HVAC packages in Australia. The client is open to candidates ranging from intermediate to senior levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical design, optimisation, and execution of complex HVAC projects.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and equipment selections, ensuring quality, compliance, and commercial viability.
• Support project teams by providing engineering documentation, 3D modelling, technical specifications, and managing design changes.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery.
• Contribute to tender submissions through technical input, value engineering, and material take-offs.
• Offer continuous engineering support during project execution, including site meetings, RFIs, and installation assistance.

About You:

• Hold a Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Be a Mechanical Engineer or Project Engineer with experience in contracting or consultancy.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and skills in managing HVAC design projects within Commercial/Industrial sectors.
• Have experience with 3D modelling software, such as AutoCAD.
• Exhibit the ability to balance technical excellence with commercial objectives.
