Independent Living Manager

Enlarge Support Solutions is seeking an Independent Living Manager to join our team in Taree, NSW. This full-time, onsite role offers the opportunity to lead high-quality supported accommodation services and empower individuals with disability to live fulfilling, independent lives.

About the Role

As the Independent Living Manager, you will be responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation services. You will lead and support a team of dedicated staff, ensuring participants receive person-centred, high-quality supports aligned with their individual goals and needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of support workers.
  • Ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred supports.
  • Promoting participant choice, independence, inclusion, and wellbeing.
  • Managing staffing, rosters, and workforce planning.
  • Building positive relationships with participants, families, guardians, and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Managing incidents, risks, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting participant outcomes through effective planning and service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, and administrative requirements.
  • Participating in a rotating after-hours on-call roster to provide leadership support, respond to operational matters, and ensure continuity of high-quality service delivery outside of standard business hours.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within the disability, community services, health, or human services sector.
  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and person-centred practice.
  • Sound knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, and Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain).
  • Current Working with Children Check (where applicable).
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
