Parks Victoria is seeking an experienced and driven Information and Education Coordinator. This role will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of public-facing education programs and interpretive content. The objective is to strengthen community connection to the maritime assets, marine parks, and waterways managed by Parks Victoria.

About the Role

As the Information and Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering education, visitor information, and interpretation programs across the local ports of Port Phillip and Western Port, and the statewide marine protected areas.

This position will guide and support colleagues, volunteers, or contractors involved in education, information, and interpretation activities. The aim is to deliver a program of work that reflects Directorate and state-wide priorities and objectives. As a people leader, the role is responsible for team performance, resource planning, capability development, and fostering a positive, high-performing culture aligned with Parks Victoria's values.

We are seeking a motivated professional with knowledge of maritime and waterways, and a highly developed understanding of education, visitor information, and interpretation. About Parks Victoria

Parks Victoria manages a diverse estate of over 4 million hectares, encompassing 3,000 land and marine parks and reserves. This represents 18 per cent of Victoria's landmass, 75 per cent of Victoria's wetlands, and 70 per cent of Victoria's coastline. Victoria's parks are home to more than 4,300 native plant species and around 1,000 native animal species.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience designing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating public-facing visitor information, interpretation, and education programs, ideally within public land, conservation, or natural resource management.
• The ability to take initiative, coordinate tasks, build and maintain a wide variety of relationships, and support team members in achieving operational goals.
• Qualifications or equivalent experience in environmental management, conservation, environmental or outdoor education/interpretation, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of maritime assets, local port, and waterways management is desirable.
