AGED RIGHTS ADVOCACY SERVICE (ARAS) Adelaide SA Part-time (0.6 FTE), onsite Salary: $43.08 – $46.35 per hour

ARAS is inviting applications for the position of Intake Officer within the aged care sector. This part-time role operates on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The Role The Intake Officer serves as the primary point of contact for inbound consumer and stakeholder communications with ARAS through telephone, text, and email. This role involves collecting all necessary information for referral triage. You will collaborate with a team to provide information and support to consumers and/or their representatives, empowering them to understand and assert their rights.

The Organisation ARAS is the South Australian representative for the National Aged Care Advocacy Program, receiving funding from the Australian Department of Health. Specific Employment Requirements

• A qualification or study in a humanitarian or social justice discipline would be an advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience in the aged care sector, including an understanding of current issues faced by older individuals accessing aged care services.
• A National Police Clearance (less than 12 months old).
