Intermediate Accountant
Trivium Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role in Fortitude Valley. The salary offered is up to $100K + Super.
This opportunity is with a boutique accounting and advisory firm dedicated to the healthcare sector. They exclusively serve medical practices, specialists, and health professionals, providing strategic accounting and advisory services to foster stronger, more successful businesses. Due to ongoing expansion, they are looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to their close-knit Brisbane team.
This role is well-suited for an accountant with approximately 1-4 years of experience in Australian public practice, aiming to advance their career in a professional and supportive setting. You will receive guidance and support from experienced senior accountants committed to your professional development, offering ongoing assistance and opportunities to expand your technical expertise.
The Role Working in close collaboration with senior team members, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for business clients.
- Managing work across larger client groups and complex entity structures.
- Assisting with payroll tax, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).
- Supporting the delivery of strategic accounting and advisory services.
- Assisting with client inquiries and gradually developing client relationships.
- Ensuring adherence to accounting standards and legislative requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
As your experience grows, so will your client interaction and level of responsibility.
About You Ideal candidates will possess:
- Approximately 1-4 years of experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and business tax returns.
- A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A genuine desire to learn, develop, and be mentored.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Progression towards, or an intention to commence, the CA Program (highly regarded).
Crucially, you will be someone who takes pride in producing quality work, values continuous learning, and is keen to build a long-term career within a supportive team.
About Our Client Our client is dedicated to the success of health professionals. Their core purpose is to support medical practices in becoming financially stronger and more sustainable businesses, acknowledging the critical role healthcare providers play in the community. They foster a collaborative culture that encourages learning, innovation, and continuous improvement. As a boutique firm, each team member has the chance to make a significant contribution, take ownership of their work, and receive mentoring from experienced professionals invested in their success. Their long-term objective is to be recognised as Australia's premier specialist accounting and advisory firm for the healthcare industry, leading in innovation, expertise, and client service.
What's on Offer
