Staff Solutions Bilingual/HOBAN Recruitment has several opportunities for individuals with an accounting background and Japanese language proficiency. Roles are available across various levels, including Junior Accountant, Accountant, Senior Accountant, and Financial Controller. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will vary depending on the specific level and may include:

• Reviewing accounting data prepared by a client's in-house accountant.
• Preparing accounting reports for Australian and/or Japanese management.
• Preparation of management accounts.
• Communicating with clients.
• Preparation of BAS and IAS documents for lodgement.
• Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals and Companies, FBT, Payrolls, and other related tax matters.
• Undertaking ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following:

• Japanese language skill and an understanding of Japanese business culture.
• Qualifications in Accounting, such as a Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
• Accurate bookkeeping skills.
• Advanced accounting knowledge, including accruals, provisions, and tax effect accounting.
• Computer literacy, with a reasonable understanding of Excel.
• Ability to liaise with the ATO.
• Previous work experience as a professional accountant is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Eligibility:

Applicants must hold Permanent Resident status, be an Australian Citizen, hold a Partner Visa, or a Graduate Visa.
