The Opportunity

Due to sustained growth, Sedgman Prudentia is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with commissioning experience to join our Minerals Processing Brownfields team. This onsite, full-time role is based in Brisbane, QLD. We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven individual passionate about leading and developing a mechanical engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commissioning, with the ability to develop commissioning plans and procedures, and provide both remote and onsite support. This role involves overseeing the management of commissioning across the project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of project-specific commissioning test procedures and check sheets.
• Identify and document key risks and hazards associated with commissioning activities, implementing and communicating appropriate controls through the site's risk assessment process.
• Supervise and schedule the activities of Commissioning Supervisors, Commissioning Engineers, and sub-contractors to ensure quality, time, and cost schedules are met.
• Liaise with design and commissioning engineers to modify designs in commissioning systems and methods as needed during the commissioning phase.
• Provide governance and technical input for execution phase works, specifically commissioning planning and execution across a variety of projects.
• Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure project readiness for commissioning.
• Support internal project teams to ensure required client standards and documentation are understood and correctly referenced in all commissioning deliverables.
• Develop and review commissioning management/strategy and test plans.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the commissioning support team.
• Facilitate commissioning risk assessments.
• Provide onsite and offsite support during commissioning phases, dependent on project requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical (Process) Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant engineering experience in the Mining and Metals industry.
• 5+ years of demonstrable commissioning lead experience.
