Master Butchers Co-Operative Ltd is a multifaceted organisation with three sites and over 135 employees. MBL Proteins, a division of Master Butchers Co-Operative Ltd, manages recycling plants across three locations in South Australia. MBL Proteins processes organic by-product materials, including offal, from the meat, poultry, and seafood industries to produce tallow and meat meal.
Due to ongoing expansion, MBL Proteins is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Fitter to become part of the operations team at our Wingfield facility. As a vital member of the maintenance department, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, your role will be to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of all functions within the production facility. This involves supervising the installation, repair, and preventative upkeep of machinery and equipment, diagnosing and resolving technical challenges, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operations of the plant.
- Identify root cause analysis and fault findings.
- Conduct general maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Attend breakdown situations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Follow and maintain all company and safe work processes and procedures.
- Be able to work independently and within a team.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Trade Qualifications preferred.
- Excellent fault-finding skills.
- Experience with Welding – MIG, Arc, and TIG welding.
- Pipe Welding experience.
- Experience in the meat or poultry manufacturing industry preferred.
- Forklift License.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Driver License.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
- Shift work will be required at times.
