Maintenance Manager
Miller Leith is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their client, a market leader in manufacturing engineered products for the telecommunications sector. The Brookvale facility operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with 130 employees, including a trades team of 15. This role is critical to maintaining equipment efficiency and ensuring the success of upcoming line installations and upgrades.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and as part of the site leadership team, the Maintenance Manager will oversee the site trades team, projects, and reliability initiatives. The facility houses a mix of legacy and new equipment, requiring a mechanically inclined leader.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the $7.5 million R&M budget and leading the 15-person trades team (fitters, electricians, and a senior electrical engineer) through the Engineering Coordinator.
- Focusing on asset performance and equipment uptime through both reactive and reliability-centred maintenance strategies.
- Leading small-value site projects annually, up to $1 million, which may involve line installations/transfers and the current large-scale solar panel implementation.
About You
You will be a Maintenance Leader, Manager, or Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading a trades team within a manufacturing environment.
Ideally, you will possess:
- A tertiary qualification in an engineering field.
- Exposure to small-scale capital expenditure projects.
- A demonstrated understanding of reliability-centred maintenance methodologies.
