Findex is seeking an experienced accounting leader for the Manager position within our Virtual Operations Accounting & Tax (A&T) Pool. This role reports to the Virtual A&T Pool Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of a high-performing virtual team that delivers compliance work for numerous Australian offices. This leadership opportunity offers significant scope in managing workflow, developing team members, ensuring quality, and fostering enduring relationships with office stakeholders. Your Role and Contribution:

• Operational Oversight: Coordinate and manage workflow across various office portfolios, ensuring task allocation and deadline adherence for both onshore and offshore teams.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct advanced reviews of compliance work, establish quality assurance frameworks, and implement corrective actions as required.
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers, Senior Accountants, and Accountants to build an engaged, high-performing virtual team.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for offices regarding compliance delivery, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular updates.
• Technical Guidance: Offer advanced advice on complex accounting, tax, and compliance matters, and assist in resolving escalated issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Support process, system, and operational enhancements under the direction of the Virtual A&T Pool Lead.

What You Will Bring:

• A minimum of 6 years of accounting or compliance experience, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• A proven history of managing virtual or multi-site teams.
• Advanced knowledge of tax and accounting standards pertinent to compliance delivery.
• Strong skills in coaching and developing both onshore and offshore teams.
• Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to influence across geographically dispersed teams.
• Proficiency in workflow management tools, A&T systems, and internal platforms.
• CA qualification (or equivalent); an accounting degree is required.
• Current CPD hours maintained and current professional membership/registration.
