Mechanical 3D Designer Offline Campers Elizabeth, SA | Full-time | Onsite

Offline Campers is seeking an experienced Mechanical 3D Designer to join our expanding team. You will contribute to the design and development of our award-winning, Australian-made camper trailers.

This permanent, full-time position is based at our new facility in Elizabeth South. You will collaborate directly with our founder and production team to conceptualise and engineer the next generation of luxury off-road campers, focusing on performance and durability.

This role extends beyond CAD work, offering the opportunity to witness your designs evolve into tangible products, engage directly with manufacturing processes, resolve issues on the factory floor, and influence the future trajectory of Offline Campers. Flexible working hours are available, with salary to be negotiated based on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing new products, assemblies, and components using SolidWorks.
• Producing precise manufacturing drawings and supporting documentation.
• Refining and enhancing existing camper designs and production workflows.
• Designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance production efficiency.
• Working closely with production teams to ensure designs are practical for manufacture.
• Troubleshooting manufacturing challenges and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigating warranty and service feedback to inform product development.
• Applying relevant Australian Standards as needed.
• Balancing innovation with practical, production-ready outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience using SolidWorks (essential).
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Strong mechanical design and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
• Practical understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working in both design and production settings.
• Good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Drafting, Product Design, or equivalent industry experience will be considered.
