Mechanical Design Engineer

EIG Australia is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the delivery of significant hydrocarbon facilities within the Defence and Mining industries. This position involves involvement in both engineering design and on-site project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical designs for piping systems, pump skids, and fuel/lubrication packages.
• Generate and review detailed design drawings, layouts, and datasheets.
• Provide support for equipment selection, sizing, and specification for pumps and related systems.
• Engage with vendors to ensure adherence to technical and project specifications.
• Address technical queries and offer design clarifications.
• Contribute to design verification, constructability reviews, and commissioning preparation.

About You:

• Experience in mechanical design, specifically within oil & gas, mining, or industrial projects.
• Solid understanding of piping design, pump systems, and packaged equipment.
• Experience applying relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
• Proficiency with CAD and Modelling Software.
• Capacity to liaise effectively with vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
• A detail-oriented approach with an emphasis on practical, constructible design solutions.
