TSS Group is seeking Mechanical Engineers, from Mid to Lead level, to join a rapidly expanding engineering consultancy located in Osborne Park. These roles will focus on projects within the mineral processing sector.

Our client collaborates closely with a major mining company, delivering engineering services from study phases through to commissioning across various sites. They also provide support to numerous other mining companies in Western Australia for their mineral processing operations. The leadership team has a proven history of developing successful engineering consultancies in this field.

As a Mechanical Engineer with our client, you will deliver technical engineering services across all stages of small to mid-sized projects, encompassing both materials handling and process equipment. This may involve managing multiple smaller projects concurrently or contributing to a specific package of work within a larger project.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for the design and delivery of mineral processing projects.
• Undertake mechanical equipment selection and specification.
• Prepare reports and technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to Australian, industry, and company standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Participate in risk reviews and confirm designs meet safety standards.
• Conduct occasional site visits for inspections, commissioning, and client support.
• For Lead/Senior roles: Lead mechanical work packages and provide technical direction to junior engineers.

About You:

• Relevant experience in mineral processing:
• Mid-level: 3–7 years.
• Senior-level: 8+ years.
• Lead-level: 10+ years.
• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer, recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Experience in a technical design role within an engineering consultancy.
• Proficiency with relevant design tools/software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant 3D, or similar.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to resolve problems and address technical queries.
• For Senior/Lead roles: Experience leading teams, mentoring junior engineers, and engaging with clients.
