Design & Build is seeking an experienced Mechanical (HVAC) Draftsperson for a full-time, onsite position in Sydney, NSW. The salary offered is up to $140k + super.

This well-established mechanical services contractor has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality HVAC design and installation projects throughout Sydney. Their project experience includes commercial offices, retail developments, hospitality venues, and refurbishments, supported by a consistent pipeline of work from long-term clients. As the company grows, they are expanding their internal drafting capacity and require a Mechanical (HVAC) Draftsperson.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and play a key role within a close-knit technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate precise Mechanical Services drawings and Revit models for commercial, retail, and hospitality HVAC projects.
• Undertake BIM coordination with other building services and construction disciplines, addressing clashes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop coordinated shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and construction programmes.
• Independently manage your drafting workload across multiple projects, maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Key Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical (HVAC) Draftsperson within the building services sector.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM, including multidisciplinary coordination.
• Capacity to independently manage drafting packages from design through to construction.
• A solid understanding of Australian mechanical services standards, construction methodology, and HVAC systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within project teams.
