Mechanical Project Engineer - Bell Bay (Contract)

Chandler Macleod is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for an onsite contract role in Bell Bay. This position offers an opportunity to lead innovative mechanical projects and contribute to shaping infrastructure and industry.

Role Overview: In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and execution of complex mechanical systems. The objective is to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budgetary constraints, and to stringent quality standards.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• A strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their practical application.
• Demonstrated experience managing mechanical projects from their initial concept through to final delivery.
• The capacity to develop, review, and approve engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication abilities.
• The skill to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including ASME and ASTM.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or piping systems.
• Familiarity with sustainable and energy-efficient design methodologies.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP certification.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Preferred Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of practical project engineering experience with mechanical systems.
• Prior experience on large-scale industrial, commercial, or infrastructural projects is desirable.

Other Requirements:

• The ability to work under pressure and adapt to evolving project demands.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
