Community Bridging Services (CBS) Inc. presents a casual opportunity to contribute to the lives of individuals with disabilities through our NDIS Beyond. Making it Happen! Program and NDIS Choices® Program.

Vacancies: 3 positions available. Hours: 10 to 38 hours per week. Locations: Southern and Western Adelaide, specifically 1 position in Warradale and 2 positions in West Croydon.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating and supporting clients with personal care, which encompasses assistance with daily personal activities such as hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management, eating, drinking, and mobility.
  • Providing behavioural support to participants with complex needs.
  • Ensuring effective documentation for engagement with participants’ clinical support networks.
  • Delivering group-based activities and one-on-one support to participants.
  • Operating within the legislative requirements of the NDIS, including those pertaining to restrictive practices and reportable incidents.
  • Empowering participants to make independent choices and foster their growth in independence.
  • Performing administrative tasks, data entry, and accurate recording of participant case notes.
  • Working with participants towards positive outcomes such as employability skills, social skills, independence, personal development, improved quality of life, and enjoyment.
  • Supporting participants with high support needs, including behavioural challenges.
  • Providing flexible support delivery, which may include online, face-to-face, and facilitation of small group activities.
  • Creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and availability to work across different programs to meet varying program needs.
  • Assisting clients in understanding their employment-related duties and enhancing efficiencies.
  • Communicating effectively to advocate for CBS Inc. and clients within their workplaces.
  • Building positive relationships with clients' employers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Utilising initiative and problem-solving skills to assist clients in maintaining their employment.
  • Utilising basic administration and computer skills for accurate case note recording.
  • Collaborating with and supporting clients' case managers.

Willingness to use a personal vehicle for 1:1 program support transportation is required.

Position Requirements:

  • A current, full Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
  • Meeting the current COVID-19 Vaccine requirement, with medical exemptions being acceptable, or a willingness to obtain this.
  • Holding relevant NDIS/DHS checks and clearances as required by the role, or a willingness to obtain these.
  • A current First Aid Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • A current Manual Handling Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • A current Child Safe Environments Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • A willingness to use a personal vehicle for 1:1 support transportation is desirable.
