We have an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Systems Manager to join our ANZ Opal Packaging Systems Team, supporting customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. This role can be based in Athol Park (South Australia) or Scoresby (Victoria). You will be instrumental in delivering technical expertise, service excellence, and integrated packaging systems to our customers.

Your Impact:

As Packaging Systems Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of machinery-based packaging solutions designed to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a safety-first culture within the machinery services team, embedding safety into all operations.
• Lead a team of Maintenance Managers and Technicians in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of packaging systems as part of the National Packaging Systems Team.
• Support the planning and execution of scheduled and reactive maintenance programs to maintain equipment uptime, performance, and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and implement technical solutions that add value and address evolving customer needs.
• Prepare cost and value assessments for key projects, highlighting benefits for both customers and the broader "One Opal" organisation.
• Assist in shaping and managing a forward-looking service schedule and materials plan aligned with expected volumes and operational requirements.
• Develop maintenance strategies that adapt to seasonal patterns and specific site needs, ensuring continuity and efficiency.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Previous experience leading and managing a team of tradespeople.
• At least 5 years of specific market experience trading and installing various equipment; experience within the corrugated industry would be highly regarded.
• Certification in maintenance or mechanical trade-related fields would be well regarded.
• A strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including customers and machinery vendors.
• Previous Project Management experience from concept to implementation.
• Strong financial and budgetary acumen.
• The ability to travel for work (interstate and local).
• A strong understanding of related business processes, such as purchase orders, invoices, and work orders.

Salary: Base Salary + Super + Tool of Trade Vehicle.
