Job Description

Pathway Carer

Opal HealthCare is seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Pathway Carers in Murdoch. We believe that people drive company success, and our purpose is to bring joy to those we care for, guided by our C.A.R.E values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. As a leading aged care provider in Australia, Opal HealthCare supports over 12,000 residents across 148 Care Communities nationwide, with a team exceeding 20,000 dedicated individuals.

This role is designed as an entry point into the aged care sector, offering practical experience, structured learning, and the chance to develop a lasting career supporting older Australians. Working within experienced care teams and under the supervision of our clinical staff, you will assist residents with their daily care needs, wellbeing, social engagement, and overall quality of life, while acquiring the skills and knowledge for a fulfilling future in aged care. No prior aged care experience is necessary; Opal HealthCare Academy will provide all required training, support, and a clear career pathway.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support residents with daily living tasks in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Build genuine connections and provide meaningful social interaction.
  • Assist with non-clinical care responsibilities, including meals, laundry, and maintaining the living environment.
  • Collaborate with experienced care teams in a supportive setting.
  • Undertake on-the-job learning while working towards your Certificate III qualification.

You Will Have:

  • The capacity to work Monday to Friday on AM morning shifts.
  • A compassionate, caring, and people-focused disposition.
  • A positive outlook and a readiness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work reliably.
  • The legal right to work in Australia.
  • The ability to complete pre-employment checks, including medical, police, and NDIS clearances.

What We Offer You:

  • No Experience Needed: Comprehensive training and support are provided.
  • Earn While You Learn: Benefit from paid study and on-the-job training.
  • Career Pathway: Opportunity to progress into a long-term aged care career.
  • Job Security: A permanent care role is available upon successful completion of the program.
  • Supportive Team: Learn from experienced leaders and fellow carers.
  • National Opportunities: Potential for career growth across NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, and WA.

This is a full-time, onsite position in Murdoch. The salary is an hourly rate plus 12% Superannuation and Enterprise Agreement Benefits.

If you are seeking more than just employment and wish to make a tangible difference in your community, this is your opportunity to commence a rewarding career in aged care. To apply, please submit your application.
