About the Role
This position is within our Corporate Services - Payroll team, contributing to the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll services across the organisation. As a Payroll Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time, adhering to legislative and industrial requirements. You will contribute to a high-performing payroll function supporting staff in aged care, community services, and corporate operations.
The role involves:
- Playing a key role in delivering accurate, compliant payroll each pay cycle.
- Supporting a large and diverse workforce across multiple business areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing payroll and associated benefits accurately, in accordance with legislation, awards, and organisational requirements.
- Maintaining and updating payroll data across systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Administering pay-related processes, including superannuation, leave, allowances, reimbursements, and salary packaging.
- Responding to payroll enquiries and providing timely, professional internal customer service.
- Producing payroll reports and responding to requests for payroll information.
- Working collaboratively with managers and internal teams to support payroll accuracy and compliance.
About You
- Minimum of two years' experience in payroll processing.
- Sound understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry and accuracy skills.
- Experience responding to payroll enquiries and providing customer support.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Chris21 and Kronos payroll systems (essential).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
