Payroll Officer ANZ
EBOS Group Ltd is seeking a Payroll Officer for a full-time, hybrid role based in Melbourne VIC. The position offers a base salary plus superannuation.
This role provides true hybrid flexibility, with a balance of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. You will manage your own end-to-end payroll portfolio independently within a supportive, high-performing, social, and enthusiastic ANZ HR team.
The Role
EBOS Group has an opportunity for a highly organised Payroll Officer with strong attention to detail and a desire and ability to grow payroll skills and knowledge. You will join a highly engaged and supportive HR team.
Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include supporting end-to-end (E2E) Australia and New Zealand payroll administration. This encompasses the onboarding and offboarding of employees and delivering accurate and timely pay runs.
You will also be required to collaborate with the payroll team and cross-functionally to proactively support managers and leaders in addressing all pay-related queries. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, prioritise work, meet deadlines, and work accurately under conflicting time pressures will be critical for success.
This role offers the chance to be involved in continuous improvement activities, support the building and maintenance of comprehensive documents for payroll processes, and apply your existing skills within a great business.
Requirements:
- Must be able to commit to 7:30 am starts bi-weekly to accommodate New Zealand timing.
What You Will Do:
- Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, you will be a self-motivated professional who takes full ownership of your desk.
- Deliver end-to-end (E2E) ANZ payroll services in compliance with Enterprise Agreements, IRD/ATO requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate payroll data and resolve complex reconciliation errors.
- Support month-end reporting and liaise with internal/external auditors.
- Proactively address pay-related queries with high levels of confidentiality.
- Provide occasional cover for the broader team during leave periods.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience working in a fast-paced ANZ payroll environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of both Australian and New Zealand employment legislation and E2E processes.
- Systems: Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors and ECP is highly regarded.
- Drive: A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Tech Savvy: Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
