Australian Concert and Entertainment Security (ACESGroup) is seeking a Payroll Officer to join its Finance team and contribute to daily finance operations. This role reports to the Finance Manager and is structured with 3.5 days dedicated to payroll and 1.5 days to accounts payable.

The position involves managing payroll administration and accounts payable functions, assisting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial and payroll records, and ensuring the timely processing of transactions. This opportunity is suited for an individual who thrives in a dynamic finance setting, possesses a keen eye for detail, and can effectively handle multiple tasks. There is potential to be involved in finance system upgrade projects, with system enhancements expected to create opportunities for more analytical work and the provision of valuable business insights.

The role is primarily located at our Campbelltown or Redfern office. During an initial 6-month probation period, the position is office-based.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Administration (3.5 days per week):
• Assist with the end-to-end processing of payroll for a high-volume workforce.
• Support the generation of payroll reports and conduct reconciliations.
• Address payroll queries and maintain payroll records.
• Manage payroll systems and employee payroll data.
• Accounts & Finance (1.5 days per week):
• Process accounts payable, including supplier invoices and payments.
• Provide support for finance administration and ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.

About You:

• Experience processing payroll for a high-volume workforce (1000+ employees) is highly regarded.
• Exposure to both payroll and accounts payable functions is desirable.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an accounts or finance role is required.
• Experience with MYOB or similar accounting systems is highly regarded.
• Intermediate Excel skills are necessary.
• A strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills are required.
• A confident communicator who enjoys working with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a current National Police Check and meet all pre-employment screening requirements.
