Payroll Officer
Law Staff is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its National Payroll Team in Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time, hybrid role.
You will work closely with the Brisbane-based payroll team, which has a long tenure of over 15 years. The Role:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing a high-volume national payroll and delivering an accurate and responsive payroll service to employees across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing a high-volume fortnightly payroll for a national workforce.
- End-to-end payroll processing using Chris21 or a comparable payroll system.
- Preparing payroll and superannuation payments.
- Responding to payroll enquiries from employees across the firm.
- Assisting with month and year-end payroll reporting and reconciliations.
- Running the payroll function during the Payroll Manager's absence.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, end-to-end payroll.
- Experience using Chris21 or a comparable payroll system.
- Previous payroll experience within a large corporate, professional services, or law firm environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- A stable employment history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
