Payroll & Systems Specialist

RGC Management

Roseville

$100,000 – $120,000 per year

full-time, onsite

RGC Management, operating as Key Suite, is a shared services group focused on IT for the hospitality sector. We provide comprehensive C-suite and associated solutions designed to achieve specific outcomes for SME non-active shareholders. By offering a full suite of services or individual disciplines, Key Suite provides SMEs with access to high-calibre platforms and services often beyond the reach of larger organisations.

We are recruiting a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Systems Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is fundamental to ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, maintaining financial records, and contributing to system optimisation efforts across the organisation. You will be instrumental in ensuring legislative compliance, enhancing processes, and providing payroll and financial insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete payroll processing cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to legislative, tax, and superannuation requirements.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee details, salary adjustments, leave balances, and termination information.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, manage statutory obligations, and provide support for payroll audits.
  • Uphold company policies and financial controls, maintaining the confidentiality of payroll and financial data.
  • Support financial operations, including reconciliations, expense processing, invoicing, and month/year-end procedures.
  • Maintain payroll and finance systems, including master data, reporting, and assisting with system upgrades and enhancements.

About You:

You hold a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Payroll, or a related field and possess at least five years of experience in payroll and finance administration. A thorough understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and accounting principles is required, along with hands-on experience with payroll and accounting systems such as Xero or Rippling. Strong Excel skills at an intermediate to advanced level are essential, and exposure to fixed asset management and reconciliations is also beneficial. You demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organisational and time management abilities, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Critical qualities for this role include exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Why Join Us?

  • An opportunity to play a key role in improving payroll and finance systems.
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Work across both payroll and finance functions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

We acknowledge that not all candidates may meet every criterion outlined in our job postings. If you are passionate about this role and believe you possess the necessary skills and drive to succeed, we encourage your application. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace. Your unique background and talents could be instrumental in our collective growth and innovation.
