Personal Support Worker - Middle Ridge & Surrounds

Spinal Life Australia is seeking a casual Personal Support Worker to join our team in Middle Ridge. This is an onsite role.

About the Role: As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide direct assistance to clients with acquired spinal cord injuries within their homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, utilising hoists as necessary.
• Supporting clients with grooming, bathing, dressing, and dental hygiene.
• Providing personal care, including toileting, bladder, and bowel management.
• Administering basic wound care and assisting with self-medication.
• Offering domestic support such as meal preparation, household duties, and laundry.
• Facilitating community access, including driving clients to appointments and social activities.

About You: We are looking for individuals who:

• Are excellent listeners and communicate authentically.
• Can work a fixed fortnightly roster, with availability for morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and possess a reliable vehicle.
• Hold, or are willing to obtain, an NDIS Workers Screening Check and a Blue Card.
• Have experience in the field and/or hold relevant qualifications.
