This position presents a distinct chance to apply commercial expertise within a public sector environment, aiming to enhance the offerings for the Victorian Seniors Card, Victorian Carer Card, and Victorian Companion Card programs.

The Business Development Officer will report to the Manager, Card Operations and Seniors Festival. This role is tasked with developing, sustaining, and expanding private partnerships. The objective is to secure discounts and access for over 1.5 million card holders throughout Victoria.

Key responsibilities include delivering vital discount programs designed to alleviate cost-of-living pressures for Victorians and to support initiatives encouraging community engagement. The role will also focus on generating revenue through strategic advertising assets and campaigns, and on increasing the number of locations where card holders can utilise their cards across both metropolitan and regional Victoria.

Accountabilities:

• Develop, establish, and execute annual business development plans to foster business participation in the program and generate income from Seniors Card advertising sales.
• Cultivate and preserve business engagement and discount provisions for all three card programs.
• Initiate and oversee projects that deliver advantages to card holders across the three card programs.
