About the Role
A permanent position is available for a Principal Engineer - Conveyance Standards to spearhead the development and review of design standards, product standards, and associated business management systems and processes. This role is situated within our Engineering team in Leederville, with the reporting line to the Senior Principal Engineer – Wastewater Conveyance.
What the Role Will Involve
- Lead and manage the establishment and upkeep of processes and procedures for developing, reviewing, and maintaining design and product standards.
- Manage the assessment, prioritisation, and control of engineering and product standards change work projects and programs.
- Lead and oversee the development and review of wastewater conveyance design standards.
- Lead and manage the engineering appraisal of strategic wastewater infrastructure product/equipment across engineering disciplines.
- Manage and undertake the provision of specialist engineering input to internal asset stakeholders, business partners, and external designers/suppliers.
About You
- Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive professional engineering experience in the development and review of water industry standards and in the selection of products and materials for the engineering design of major wastewater infrastructure.
- Substantial hands-on professional engineering experience in wastewater infrastructure engineering design, commissioning, and operation in design management or project management.
- Experience in the preparation and review of engineering reports and tender specifications for major/complex wastewater infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure planning, project asset management, and asset business justification processes.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or similar engineering accreditation is preferred.
