You will engage with clients across diverse sectors including infrastructure, utilities, resources, property, financial services (encompassing funds management), technology, manufacturing, consumer services, retail, transport, mining, and medical industries.

At PwC Australia, your skills align with purpose. We address significant challenges across sectors like finance, technology, energy, and health, offering you the opportunity to make a tangible impact. Your professional development is a priority. You will collaborate with leading teams, explore emerging technologies, and realise your full potential. Become part of a global network of over 370,000 individuals who champion bold ideas, collaboration, and enduring change, collectively building trust and shaping the future.

What you will do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.
  • Identify and mitigate client tax-related risks, ensuring awareness of potential issues and solutions.
  • Discover avenues for service expansion with existing clients and attract new clients to the firm.
  • Remain current with the latest tax legislation and regulations, sharing insights and providing training to the team and clients.

  • Work with clients across a broad spectrum of industries including property, transport, mining, and medical, supporting them through all stages of their business lifecycle, including growth and succession/exit, and developing solutions for complex challenges encountered at each stage.
  • Undertake complex corporate tax compliance and consulting, domestic tax matters including consolidation and restructuring advice, and international tax issues.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience working with large privately owned corporate businesses, providing strategic tax advice, compliance solutions, and tax effect accounting services.
  • Current technical knowledge of tax laws and industry trends, with the ability to translate these into practical, innovative strategies for privately owned domestic and foreign-owned corporate groups with turnovers exceeding $1 billion.
  • A strong history of leading, mentoring, and developing teams to foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in identifying growth opportunities and expanding services with existing and new clients.
  • Excellent skills in relationship building and stakeholder management across various industries.
  • Experience in streamlining processes and applying best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

If you do not meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We value all forms of experience that may be transferrable and relevant.

What you will gain:

  • The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.
  • An inclusive environment committed to Inclusion and Diversity and First Nations Prosperity, ensuring diverse perspectives are central to our work.
  • Flexibility that trusts you to determine when, where, and how you work, balancing what is best for you, your team, and your clients to foster mutual growth and success.
  • Clear pathways for career progression, supported by ongoing learning and leadership development.
  • Generous leave entitlements to support your work-life balance, including floating public holidays, birthday leave, and the option to purchase additional leave on top of your four weeks.
  • A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
